Sting Rays Sports: 4 – 5 years
This one-hour, high-energy class is great for developing beginning sports skills. Children will get an introduction to baseball, football, golf, and hockey. They will practice listening skills and how to follow directions. They will improve their eye-to-hand coordination, balance and muscle control. We will teach them how to play the games in a safe, non-contact and noncompetitive environment. They will learn the rules of the games, how to use the equipment properly, and understand the concept of a team and the importance of teamwork.
Manta Rays Sports: 5 -8 years
This is a great class to help your child prepare for entry into competitive team sports. This one-hour class will help them decide which sport they wish to pursue, removing some of the guesswork involved in joining competitive team sports.
They will continue to practice the sports skills developed in our Sting Rays Class and also be exposed to tennis, soccer, and volleyball. They will practice the basic skills required for each sport. They will be introduced to proper stretching and warm-up techniques to keep then safe when they enter competitive team sports. They will work on throwing, catching, kicking, running. Through these sports we will continue to develop your child’s balance, coordination and muscle control.
